Got a high school volleyball player who wants more time on the court after the school season? Aloha Volleyball Association (AVA) has posted tryouts for its 2026–27 high school girls indoor club, and sign-ups are open now.
Tryout details
- When: Sunday, Nov. 8, 10:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
- Where: South Maui Gym, 1501 Liloa Dr., Kīhei
- Who: High school girls. The sign-up form includes AVA’s player age definition, so check it before you register.
- Sign up: on AVA’s tryout sign-up form.
- Bring: water, knee pads and court shoes, plus the signed AVA waiver and medical release form.
Both forms are on AVA’s Indoor Club page: the AVA waiver (PDF) and the medical release form (PDF). Filling them out ahead of time saves a scramble at the gym door.
What club volleyball costs
AVA is upfront that club play has three costs: club dues, a uniform and travel. Its Indoor Club page puts the uniform at about $150 to $225. Travel depends on how many players go. AVA estimates $800 to $1,200 per player for an outer-island trip and $1,500 to $2,000 for a Mainland trip, not counting airfare, which families cover. Dues vary by skill level, travel and season length, so ask the club for the current amount.
