Hawaiian Canoe Club

A community rooted in waʻa, teamwork and Hawaiian culture, with age-group racing and Kamaliʻi enrichment. Older youth can also grow through the Youth Leadership Program.

Ages / eligibility: 8 & under · 10–13 · 14+
Community / practice location: Hoaloha Park, Kahului Harbor · 1 E. Kaʻahumanu Ave.
Opportunities: Youth regatta racing, cultural enrichment and leadership for ages 14–18.
Season: 2026 youth practices began May 4. Contact the club for practice times and next season’s dates.

How to join

Contact the club to sign up. They’ll help you find the right age group, practice times and dues.

The published age groups are reproduced as listed; families of nine-year-olds should ask the club which group applies.

Find the right starting point

Ask which group suits your child’s age and experience, whether a swim test is needed, what equipment is supplied, and where to meet for the first practice.
