Softball

From first swings to varsity games, softball is built on skill, teamwork and community.

Softball shares baseball’s basic structure—hitting, throwing, catching, base running and fielding—but has its own equipment, field dimensions and pitching style. Fastpitch pitchers use an underhand windmill motion, and the shorter base paths create a quick, reaction-heavy game. Young players build fundamentals before progressing into more specialized positions and competitive play.
