Strength Meets Strategy

Wrestling develops technique, discipline and confidence through one-on-one competition.

Wrestling is a one-on-one combat sport centered on balance, leverage, takedowns, control and escapes. Matches are divided by weight class, allowing athletes of many body types to compete. Training develops strength and conditioning, but technique, positioning and composure are often what decide a close match.

Maui has a strong school wrestling tradition, with boys and girls competing through the Maui Interscholastic League and beyond.
